Mona Abd El-Gawad

Mona Abd El-Gawad, who's passionate about a spectrum of interests from Computer Science to Creative Writing, is a junior at a STEM-focused high school in Egypt. Mona enjoys words as a tool to express her thoughts and feelings and shed light on important social issues. Her earliest memories of writing include a 5-minute speech about gender equality at 11 and a short story about the underworld at 13. Currently 16, she's working on a poetry collection as well as writing social media posts for her school club.
