What was the one ray of inspiration that led you to make the choice of pursuing Fashion?
Being fashionable comes naturally to me, it’s a part of my lifestyle.
Who has been your fashion role model?
Jennifer Lopez has always been my fashion role model.
What are your most famous works in fashion?
As an actor, fashion plays a very important role in shaping one’s personality. The way you carry yourself is what comes across to people when they watch you perform. I’ve always put in my personal touches when it comes to fashion in all the roles I’ve played in my films and my current TV show “Anupamaa”.
What does a typical day in your week look like?
Most of my days are spent working on set and if I have a holiday I spend the day with my family and pets.
What do you think about certain fashion “rules” pertaining to what people can and can’t wear? Do they exist for good reason or not?
I personally don’t think fashion rules change anything on the outside. This is a personal choice, something that you feel comfortable in VS something you’re not comfortable in. It’s one’s own choice I believe.
People say fashion and style are two different things- what is fashion v.s. style to you?
Fashion is something that you can create by mixing and matching outfits and accessories, where as style is you, how you pull off any look and stand out.
What would you do differently if you were starting in your industry now?
If I was starting in my industry now, I wouldn’t do anything differently as such because I’ve always known that it’s only your hard work and dedication that keeps you in the game. I started keeping that in mind and to answer your question that’s how I’d start my journey.
What would you say is the #1 key to success in your business?
According to me, your attitude and confidence is the #1 key to success.
What would be your message to your fans?
I’d like to thank all my fans for loving my work and my look as “Kavya” in my show. I feel blessed to receive so much love from you all and I promise to keep you entertained on-screen as well as off-screen though my social media posts always. Love all my fans! You all mean so much to me.
